Specifications and Analysis

Before your contractors implement your plans, it is sometimes important to have a specification of works prepared. This is effectively a complete schedule of all the building works you require, including identifying the quality of the works and the particular materials, colours, electrical and plumbing requirements, design standards etc.

The specification will be set out in a form that will allow your contractors to price each individual item, allowing you the opportunity of comparing the separate prices of different contractors. For a small to medium schemes we would recommend that three to four priced tenders are obtained. We can then carry out an analysis of the items within the tender documents for any arithmetical mistakes and for any unusual pricing tactics.
